Author's Note

The secret behind Hawk and Alena.
Las Águilas can study their blood.
But some bonds existed long before the first drop was shared.
Of all the stories I’ve written in the Las Águilas universe, if you ask me which one I will always come home to, the answer is simple—
Hawk and Alena.
They are the heart of this world for me.
And strangely enough, their story began long before either of them knew the other existed.

Hawk was ten when his “education abroad” began.
Behind that innocent name were field training, survival, and a world no child should have known.
Then Las Águilas discovered the anomaly.
He healed faster. Thought faster. Calculated possibilities years ahead.
They trained a gifted boy.
He became a legend.

Alena grew up protected from everything Hawk knew.
Safe. Sheltered. Loved.
And yet, years before she met him—
she felt his pain.
She didn’t know his face.
She only knew him as Gabriel.

Years later, science found their extraordinary biological compatibility.
Hawk’s anomaly.
Alena’s Mondego House Line.
Their bodies could recognize each other.
But science had one problem:
The dreams came first.
The bond came first.

WHAT SCIENCE COULD EXPLAIN
I gave their bodies a scientific explanation: Hawk’s anomaly and Alena’s receptive House Line.
Perfect. Mystery solved.
Except Alena was already feeling Gabriel years before they ever touched.
No blood. No kiss. No biological exchange. She didn’t even know his name.
So how did two children, worlds apart, find each other?
That part, even I refuse to explain.

The Song of their Longing
Give Me Your Name speaks of a longing that has no name yet—of searching for someone your soul has somehow already chosen.
It’s the ache I always imagined living quietly between Hawk and Alena since childhood: Who are you?
Not because they had known each other forever.
But because somehow, they had been missing each other that long.

Why I love Them
I created a man who could calculate almost anything.
Then I gave him a girl who answered the one variable he could never solve.
Hawk may be the legend Las Águilas was built on.
But Alena is the reason he finally chose to live for more than survival.

Their souls found each other in dreams. Years later, fate finally let them meet.
Thank you for walking with them. You are now part of their story.
